Ashleigh Damazyn – C

Damazyn was a four-year varsity letterman with the Crystal City softball team and was a big contributor to the team over the past few seasons. She is a coachable player and a hard worker with a great personality. Damazyn was a team player for the Hornets who set a great example for the rest of the team. This past season she was named All-District after hitting .385 with a .515 on-base percentage, a .692 slugging percentage, and 17 RBI. Damazyn will be continuing her softball career at East Central College in the fall.

Jordyn Zoph – Utility

Zoph was a returning player for the Grandview softball team this spring and would have been one of the team’s top offensive threats. She has the versatility to play multiple positions and did an excellent job last year filling in where the team needed her due to injuries. Zoph was named All-District this past season after hitting .472 with a .635 on-base percentage and 18 RBI. She was named Academic All-State in 2019 and will earn that honor again this year. Zoph also took home the team award for Big Bat of the Year last season which was given to the team’s top hitter. She will be attending Mineral Area College in the fall where she will throw the javelin for the track and field team. Zoph later plans to attend SEMO before enrolling at Logan Chiropractic to become a chiropractor.

Sarra Faust – IF

Faust was a returning player for the Eagles softball team this spring and was always a fierce competitor. She had a tremendous skillset, possessing excellent speed and athleticism. Faust finished the 2019 season with a .694 slugging percentage, four triples, 18 runs, and a .946 fielding percentage. She took home the Web of the Year team award last year for being the team’s top fielder. Faust was named Academic All-State in 2019 and will earn that honor again this year. In addition to being a member of the Grandview softball team, she was also on the basketball team and was a state-qualifying hurdler on the track and field team. Faust will be attending Illinois College in the fall where she will join the women’s basketball team and study business administration.

Hailey Harlow – Utility

Harlow was a returning player for the Grandview softball team this spring and was the type of player that could do just about anything you ask her to on the field. She was one of the team’s most versatile players who spent time this past season in the infield, outfield, and in the circle. Perhaps the most remarkable athletic accomplishment for Harlow is that she is the first five-sport athlete in Grandview school history. She played volleyball, basketball, softball, and ran cross country and track and field for the Eagles. Harlow will be attending Fontbonne University in the fall where she will join the women’s basketball team and study elementary education.

Zoey Snyder – OF

Snyder was a returning player for the Eagles softball team this spring and was poised to be a big contributor to the varsity team this season. She showed tremendous improvement this offseason across the board – hitting, fielding and throwing. Snyder was named a St. Louis Post-Dispatch Scholar Athlete and will earn Academic All-State this season. She has been a staple of Grandview athletics in multiple facets over her time at the school as she also spent time as a manager for the boys basketball and football teams. Snyder will be attending Jefferson College in the fall before transferring to Missouri S&T to study mining or electrical engineering.
