Olivia Meyer – 1B

Meyer was set to be a four-year player for the Valle Catholic softball team this spring and has been a staple of the program since the time she stepped on campus. She was a four-year starter and was a five-tool player who could do it all on the softball field. Meyer was a three-time All-Conference and All-District selection with the Warriors. She plans to attend Mineral Area College in the fall to study nursing.

Maddie Flieg – SP, Utility

Flieg was going to be a four-year player for the Warriors softball team this spring and was a three-year starter to boot. She was one of the team’s top pitchers over the past few seasons and would have been the ace of the staff this year. Flieg plans to attend Mizzou where she will study communications.

Mallory Weiler – Utility

Weiler was set to be a four-year player for the Warriors softball team this spring and had been a starter on varsity since she joined the program her freshman year. She was like a swiss army knife for the team, able to do a multitude of things extremely well. Weiler was a two-time All-Conference and All-District selection. She plans to attend Missouri University of Science and Technology to study chemical or biochemical engineering.

Reann Nickelson – OF

Nickelson would have been a four-year player for the Valle Catholic softball team this spring and was a two-year starter for the Warriors. She is excellent at tracking the ball in the outfield and is an elite defender for the team. She plans to the University of Central Missouri to study middle school language arts.

Kayleen Warren – OF

Warren would have been a four-year player and a two-year starter for the Valle Catholic softball team this spring and was an exceptional defensive player for the Warriors. She was always one of the team’s hardest workers and her effort always brought out the best in her. Warren plans to attend Mizzou where she will study medical laboratory science.

Mabry Basler – 1B

Mabry would have been a four-year player with the Valle Catholic softball team this spring and would have had the opportunity to play a key role on the varsity team this season. She plans to attend Maryville University to study communication sciences and disorders to become a speech pathologist.

Rachel Basler – C

Rachel was set to be a four-year player with the Warriors softball team this spring, and after splitting time the past few years on the varsity level, she was poised to be the full-time starting catcher this season. She plans to attend Mineral Area College in the fall to study secondary education.

Maria Cabrel

Cabrel was joining the Valle Catholic softball team for the first time this spring and had a chance to compete for some varsity playing time. She plans to attend Southern Illinois University in Carbondale to study radiological science with an emphasis on radiation therapy.
