Luke won first for his story on the Belgrade girl’s hen winning Miss Flocktober.

Luke also took second place in Feature Reporting on his 50th Anniversary of the first moon landing where he spoke with the curator of the Bonne Terre Space Museum.

The Regional Radio Sports Team was also winners. Nathan Gerdts took first place in the All-Around Sports category for his training camp report with Valle Catholic.

The Missouri Broadcasters Association says there were a record number of entries this year with 933. In all, 113 first place awards were handed out along with 115 second place awards.
