Relocation & funding plans continue for Jefferson College’s Law Enforcement and EMT/Paramedic Academies

(Jefferson County) Plans are in place to move the Jefferson College Law Enforcement and EMT/Paramedic academies from its current location in Imperial to the college’s Arnold campus.

President Dr. Dena McCaffrey says the transition is exciting but will require construction work.

Pending Governor Mike Parson’s approval of the 2023 state budget, Jefferson College will receive 1.9 million dollars to help fund the project. However, that’s not the only source of funding.

An exact date or time on when the Jefferson College Law Enforcement Academy and EMT/Paramedic program will move to the Arnold campus is unknown at this time.

Dr. McCaffrey adds they do not have any current plans to sell the Imperial property due to both programs still operating from the location.
