Representative Dinkins Looking For More Options With School Protection Officers

With the 2020 Missouri Legislative Session getting underway this week, Representative Chris Dinkins of Annapolis has already filed a number of bills.

One of those bills would expand who can be designated a “school protection officer” in cases of emergency.

Dinkins tells us sometimes teachers aren’t always the best option for this role.

And Dinkins says that teachers may not want to leave their classrooms when an intruder is in the building.

Dinkins, a Republican, is the representative of District 144 in the Missouri House.

She was elected in 2018.
