Representative Henderson on Criminal Bail Change by Missouri Supreme Court

(Jefferson City) The Missouri Supreme Court says an associate circuit judge can issue a summons instead of a warrant with bond if an arrest suspect is not a threat.
The State Judiciary Committee could review that ruling. State Representative Mike Henderson of Desloge is interested to hear the results if that happens.
Some rural Missouri sheriff’s say the ruling is a”free pass” for repeat offenders and hinders the prosecutors because the offenses are not considered violent crimes.
