(Jefferson City) The Missouri legislature was in Jefferson City for a couple days this week and they passed a 6.2-billion dollar supplemental budget bill.

This deals solely with the Coronavirus and it’s affects on the state.

State Representative Mike McGirl of Potosi tells us what this money is supposed to be used for.

McGirl says some of the money will go to education.

The House voted 147 to 4 to approve these funds and the Missouri Senate vote was also bipartisan with a 28 to 1 margin.

The supplemental budget bill still awaits the governor’s signature.
