Representative McGirl’s Random Acts of Kindness Bill Fails

(Jefferson City) State Representative Mike McGirl of Potosi hoped this would be the year his Random Acts of Kindness bill would pass in the Missouri Legislature but it found failure for the second year in a row.

This bill would have set a specific day across the state as Random Acts of Kindness Day.

McGirl says his bill had good traction up until when the pandemic hit.

For now, Random Acts of Kindness Day will be observed in Washington County.

The county commission passed a resolution four years ago to observe this special day every year on August 31st.
