Results In From This Years Bear Hunting Season

(Jefferson City) Eight black bears were killed as part of Missouri’s second bear hunt.

Last year, 12 bears were taken down.

The state Department of Conservation says nearly 59-hundred hunters applied for one of the 400 permits for this season.

The maximum number of bears that could be killed by hunters was 40.

This year, three of the eight bears were taken down with bows.
