Ripe Fire Conditions Cause Fredericktown To Be First Independence Day Celebration Casualty

(Fredericktown) Unfortunately, Fredericktown is the first casualty for their Independence Day celebration that had been scheduled for Sunday.

The Fredericktown Area Optimists Club decided to postpone their “Fredericktown Fireworks and Fun” event.

The postponement is due to the lack of rain and the risk of starting fires from the fireworks as our area is in the midst of a drought.

However, the event will still happen but later on this year when fire risk conditions improve in Fredericktown.

Regional Radio will let you know when organizers decide to reschedule the event.
