Riverbend Bookstore In Crystal City Opens Friday

(CRYSTAL CITY) After several months of renovations and hard work, Riverbend Bookstore in Crystal City will open on Friday. The owners are Steven and Caroline Meyers of Potosi, Steve is a retired teacher, and Caroline is a current teacher in the Potosi School District. The business is located in the old S&S Kawasaki building along Truman Boulevard. Meyers says the work on the building was a tough task for sure.

Riverbend Bookstore purchased the majority of Books Galore’s inventory when they closed at the end of 2022. Meyers says they have been able to add many other books and items to the mix.

The store will have everything from a kid’s area to places to sit and relax and read if visitors would like to do that. They will also plan to start book clubs and add a coffee shop in the building over the summer. Meyers says they have already scheduled some special events.

Riverbend Bookstore will be open Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10 until 6, Thursdays from 10 until 7, Fridays from 10 until 5, and Saturdays from 10 until 2. The hours may be adjusted in the coming weeks. Riverbend Bookstore opens its doors for the first time tomorrow (Friday) morning at 10.
