Rock Memorial Legion’s Weekend In Kentucky

(Mayfield, Ky) Rock Memorial Post 283 competed in the American Pride and Freedom Baseball Tournament in Mayfield, Kentucky last weekend. Rock 283 went 3-2 on the weekend losing in the semifinals to eventual champion Tupelo, 10-to-nothing. Rock 283 beat tournament host Mayfield 10-to-four in their first game Sunday morning but coach Dan Sigman said the semifinal game started just 25 minutes after that.

Sigman is proud of his teams’ performance in the tournament, pointing out two areas where Rock 283 excelled.
