Rolla Man and Salem Teen Injured in Auto Accident in Dent County

(Salem, Mo.) A man from Rolla and a teen from Salem were both taken to Salem Memorial Hospital after being involved in a three-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon in Dent County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident took place on Highway 72 at the intersection of Highway ‘C’ when a Chevrolet Impala driven by 18-year-old Joshua Birdsong of Salem rear-ended a Mitsubishi Mirage driven by 59-year-old Jimmy Seest of Rolla.
That caused the Mirage to rear-end a Ford Focus driven by a 16-year-old juvenile from Salem who was stopped to make a left turn at the intersection of Highway 72 and Highway ‘C’.
Seest sustained moderate injuries, Birdsong sustained minor injuries, and the juvenile did not sustain any injuries in the crash.
