(Farmington) The 51-year rivalry between Farmington and North County writes its next chapter tomorrow night on KREI. The Knights are currently on a 7-game win streak against the Raiders and are 15-5 in the series since the start of the new millennia. The Raiders and Knights rivalry began in 1970 and each snap has its own place in history. North County coach Brian Jones has a lot of respect for the history of this rivalry with Farmington.

Jones says he and his team feel good preparing for the season opener against their rivals.

For head coach Erik Kruppe, records go out the window for a rivalry game of this magnitude and have a tough task containing Raiders Quarterback Nolan Reed.

Fresh faces are a constant rotation in sports, but Kruppe says this year’s team is full of guys that can flat-out play the game of football.

Farmington vs. North County is scheduled to kick off at 7 from Haile Memorial Stadium. You can listen live on AM 800 KREI with the Fliegs Equipment Pregame Show at 6.
