Rural Festus Man Gets Federal Prison Time for Child Pornography

(St. Louis) A Jefferson County man was sentenced Wednesday to seven years in prison and ordered to pay a victim $3,000.
A news release from the U.S. Attorney’s office in St. Louis says 34-year-old Jonathan R. Brown from rural Festus accessed child pornography for years.
At least as far back as 2015, Brown was using the dark web to download and view child porn.
In October 2018 and January 2019, Brown had child porn on computers that were accessible via peer-to-peer file sharing programs.
Investigators later seized electronics from Brown that contained child porn.
Back in March, Brown pleaded guilty to one count of receipt of child pornography.
This case stemmed from an F.B.I. investigation into a dark website focused on the production, advertisement and distribution of egregious child exploitation material.
