Salem Man Injured in U.T.V. Accident in Reynolds County…Driver Leaves the Scene

(Edgehill) A U.T.V. accident in Reynolds County Monday evening left the passenger injured and the driver fleeing from the scene.

The U.T.V. was eastbound on Highway 72 at ‘A’ Highway when the vehicle overturned, throwing 44-year-old William H. Piatt of Salem, the passenger, out of the vehicle.

Piatt was taken by helicopter for treatment at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.

The Highway Patrol says the driver of the U.T.V. left the scene before police arrived.
