Salem Woman Injured in Auto Accident in Phelps County

(Rolla, Mo.) A woman from Salem was taken to Phelps Health Hospital in Rolla after being involved in an auto accident Wednesday morning in Phelps County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident took place on Highway 72, six miles east of Rolla, when a Pontiac Grand AM driven by 22-year-old Angel Spurgin of Salem began sliding on ice, traveled off the left side of the roadway, and struck a marker post, embankment, and a tree.
Spurgin sustained moderate injuries in the crash.
