Saturday is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

(Jefferson County) Saturday is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day and Pevely police as well as other surrounding agencies are partnering with the DEA to dispose of prescription drugs properly.

Chief Glenn says people can drop off any prescription with no questions asked.
Festus Police Chief Tim Lewis says his department will also be participating in the event.
Once again, National Prescription Drug Take Back Day will be on Saturday and several local emergency first response agencies will be participating.
During last years drug take back day, more than 15-million pounds of prescriptions was collected, with more than 620-thousand pounds being taken in Missouri.
