Say Goodbye to Free Trash Service in Desloge

(Desloge) The City of Desloge had a good run of many years, giving free trash service to it’s citizens.

That good run is over after Monday night’s Desloge City Council meeting.

City Administrator Dan Bryan tells us why.

The Desloge City Council also discussed certain employees taking home city-owned vehicles.

In other news from Monday night’s Desloge City Council meeting, an overlay project was approved for about 10-thousand dollars to extend Abbey Lane.

The council approved the parks department to purchase a new utility vehicle which will be available for multiple uses.

Also, a field groomer was approved for the parks department to purchase which will be used to shape up infields on the city’s baseball and softball fields.
