Schumer Named New St. Vincent Athletic Director

(Perryville, Mo.) After 27 years under the guidance of Bruce Valleroy, the St. Vincent Indians have announced Tim Schumer will take over as the athletic director at the beginning of the new school year.

A graduate of St. Vincent High School, Schumer says becoming the Indians’ AD was not an opportunity he could pass up.

With Valleroy’s nearly three decades of experience running the St. Vincent athletic programs, Schumer says it will be a big help to learn from Bruce during the transition.

Schumer is also the head football coach at St. Vincent and will retain that title along with becoming the athletic director.

He says he looks forward to cultivating relationships with all of the athletes at St. Vincent.

Valleroy will still be working in the district as a P.E. teacher at the elementary school and will remain the boys basketball coach at the high school.

Schumer will begin his tenure as the St. Vincent AD beginning on August 1st.
