Schwartzkopf Gears Up for Senior Season

(Saint Joseph, Mo.) Taylor Schwartzkopf is entering her senior season as a Griffon on the Missouri Western State University girls soccer team. She is a graduate of Farmington High School where she was named to the all-state team three times. We caught up with Schwartzkopf to see how things are going in Saint Joseph and what her goals are for the upcoming season.

Schwartzkopf has 12 career goals and 3 career assists. She netted 6 of those in her freshman season in just 7 games with a hat trick in her debut. Her first year as a Griffon was cut short due to a knee injury and she says it took some time to gain the confidence back she had before the injury happened.

Her eligibility with the girls soccer program may be done after this upcoming season, however, her time at Missouri Western is not.

Missouri Western’s season is scheduled to start on September 13th at Missouri Southern in Joplin.
