(Warren County) Searchers are looking for the meteorite that streaked across the sky Monday night and fell to the ground somewhere west of St. Louis.

The space rock traveling at an estimated 44-thousand miles per hour entered the atmosphere above Troy and caused a massive sonic boom.

It traveled about 30 to 40 miles west before eventually reaching the ground.

A group of researchers from Washington University think they may know where it landed.

They are using Doppler weather radar readings and think the space rocks could be in Warren County.
