Search Underway For New Farmington Fire Chief

The interview process is now underway concerning a new fire chief for the city of Farmington. City Administrator Greg Beavers says they have four candidates they are considering. All four are current members of the fire department. He says Todd Mecey will be a tough person to replace.

The goal is to have a new chief hired by the May meeting of the Farmington City Council. That’ll give the new person a few weeks to train with Mecey, whos last day on the job is June 1st. Mecey has been with the Farmington Fire Department for over 30 years.
