(IMPERIAL) Seckman Athletic Director Ryun Kasten was featured on KJFF Sports Talk Tuesday as part of the show’s end-of-the-summer series with Jefferson County AD’s.

Kasten is happy to report that there are 558 students involved in either a fall athletic or in the marching band program this year.

There was a head coaching change over the summer for Jaguars girls volleyball, with Paula Baechle taking the reins after five years as an assistant.

The Seckman boys soccer team finished last year 15-11 while reaching the district championship game and losing 4-3 to Jackson. Head coach Tim Bookstaver had some concerns about this season after graduating a number of seniors but has remained positive when speaking to Kasten.

There are six seniors on the Seckman varsity soccer squad and they are Chris Chandler, Brandon Helfrick, Dominic Laxton, Jacob Peer, Nathan Rellergert, and Brandon Sweeney. For the Jaguars football team, homecoming is always a special time. Kasten goes into the details about the the weekend’s events.

The fall sports season for Seckman kicks off with a Friday night football home game against Washington. KJFF Sports Talk will continue it’s end-of-the-summer series with Jefferson County Athletic Directors Wednesday at 4:15 with Windsor’s Tom Ludwig.
