Seckman Boys and Girls Wrestling Programs Loaded Ahead of 2019-2020 Season
(IMPERIAL) The Seckman boys wrestling program will certainly miss 3-time state champion Kai Orine who is off wrestling at N.C.State, but Coach Ryan Moyer has plenty of talent back for the 2019-2020 season. 4 of the 15 guys in this year’s program are at least one-time state qualifiers.
Devin Haag actually placed 5th at state last year and is one of the options this season for Coach Moyer to fill in for Orine in the 126-pound weight division.
Two-time state qualifier Anthony Chellew returns to the 160-pound weight division.
Then there is heavyweight wrestler and senior Joe Klutho who Coach Moyer says has put in everything this offseason to make sure he’s a state champ at the end of the year.
Rounding out the state qualifiers from last year is Keagan Miller who will wrestle this season in the 138-pound weight class.
While the Seckman boys wrestling team will certainly provide a punch this year, the girl’s side is set to potentially equal its power. Head Coach Ryan Moyer has both of his state qualifiers returning in sophomore Maddie Conrad and senior Corrine McClure.
There are 14 other young women on this year’s team and quite a few pop out to Coach Moyer.
Both the Seckman boys and girls wrestling teams start the season at home on Wednesday, December 4th against Eureka.
