(IMPERIAL) Seckman golfer Claire Solovic finished 3rd at state in as many years last Tuesday with a 148 two-day total score at the Silo Ridge Golf and Country Club in Bolivar.

As a freshman, Claire finished tied for first at state, something that had never been done at Seckman before. Ever the perfectionist though, Claire has mixed feelings about her career accomplishments.

Despite not getting that outright state title, Claire still enjoyed her Seckman experience.

Claire credits her Pro-Am golf coach, Tom DeGrand, for the last 6 years helping her become what she is. She also made sure to thank her Seckman head coach, Brad Hagedorn, and gave him a little trouble while at it.

Claire’s next step in her career is to join the golf team at Central Methodist University alongside her sister.
