Seckman’s Harvell hamers way to softball Dream Team

(Imperial) Abby Harvell used her junior season with the Seckman Jaguars to morph into one of the top softball players in the area.

Harvell put up a .511 batting average in the fall of 2021 on her way to the Regional Radio Dream Team.

She says she made a few tweaks at the plate to become an elite hitter.

Harvell finished this season with 32 runs scored and 16 stolen bases, but she added power to base-running acumen.

The Seckman outfielder also swatted 15 doubles and 3 triples.

She attributes that to being willing and able to take the ball the other way.

But Harvell believes there’s more to come for herself and her Jaguar teammates.

Harvell was first team all-conference, all-district and all-region.
