Seckman’s Moyer named boys’ wrestling Dream Team Coach of the Year

(Imperial) Ryan Moyer of the Seckman Jaguars is the 2022 Regional Radio Dream Team Coach of the Year for boys’ wrestling.

Moyer guided a Seckman program that won a team district title and finished second in the state in Class 4.

He says he feels proud that his Jaguars stood out among so much great wrestling in southeast Missouri.

Coming off 6 grapplers winning individual district titles, Seckman had 11 wrestlers qualify for the state championships.

The Jaguars would go on to have 5 wrestlers medal in their weight class, including Cole Ruble winning the state title at 160 pounds.

Moyer says the key to this group’s success was having the right mindset.

But Moyer says there are plenty of people who deserve credit for helping make this season possible.

Sophomores Matt Cook and Draegen Orine joined Ruble on the Dream Team.
