Seckman’s Orine carries on family name with return to wrestling Dream Team

(Imperial) Draegen Orine is living up to a rather impressive pedigree.

The Seckman Jaguars sophomore wrestler already has picked up 2 state finishes of at least third place in his weight class and is making his second Regional Radio Dream Team.

Orine moved up in weight but still finished third in Class 4 at 120 pounds after going 45-4 this season.

He says he’s grateful to area coaches for selecting him again to the Dream Team and credits his own coaches for preparing him for success.

Orine also won a Class 4 District 1 championship this winter to continue a family tradition.

His older brother Kai won a state title in 2020, and Orine’s teammates Matt Cook and Cole Ruble also won district titles on their way to making the Dream Team.

Orine says his families both on and off the mat mean he’s living around wrestling 365 days a year.

And while Orine thanks plenty of people for helping him, he also wants them to know that he’s just getting warmed up.

Orine was one of 4 Seckman wrestlers to win a district title and also medal at state, helping the Jaguars finish second in Class 4 as a team.
