Seckman’s Orine stars as freshman, makes wrestling Dream Team

Seckman Jaguars freshman Draegen Orine has outsized expectations for what he’ll accomplish in his career.

He seems to be meeting them, having made the Regional Radio Dream Team in his debut season.

Orine nearly went unbeaten in his first varsity season before falling in the Class 2 state championship match at 106 pounds.

But Orine believes his teammates set him up for success every day in practice.

Orine has a lot to live up to, but it’s not just the standard he holds himself to.

Older brother Kai won a state championship as a senior and was the 2019 Dream Team Wrestler of the Year.

Draegen says that’s what he’s truly chasing.

And Orine knows it’s not possible to achieve those goals without his support group.

Orine won 2 regular-season tournaments along with district and sectional championships in his weight class.
