Seckman’s Ruble named Dream Team Boys’ Wrestler of the Year

(Imperial) Cole Ruble of the Seckman Jaguars is the 2022 Regional Radio Dream Team Boys’ Wrestler of the Year.

The junior continued what’s becoming a historic athletic career by winning the Class 4 state championship at 160 pounds.

It caps a season where Ruble went 42-5 and qualified for state for the second time.

He says all the glory that comes from that kind of season is gratifying and emblematic of the grind.

Ruble brought home a Class 4 District 1 title as well this season, but he’s not the only Jaguars to dominate on the mat this winter.

Seckman finished second in the team standings in Class 4 and had 4 total wrestlers make the Dream Team.

Facing that kind of competition just in practice is pretty fierce, but Ruble says it produced the right kind of chemistry.

But as accomplished as Ruble has already been, he’s making it clear that there’s plenty more to come.

Ruble has already made the Dream Team twice in football.
