Security upgrades needed at Jefferson County facilities

(Hillsboro) The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is looking into making security upgrades to several of the county facilities. Sheriff Dave Marshak says much of the technology used at the Courthouse, Jail, and Juvenile facilities are older and obsolete.

Sheriff Marshak says upgrading and replacing the equipment will be fairly expensive.

Sheriff Marshak says replacing aging technology at facilities as old at the courthouse and jail will likely come with issues along in the process. There is no current timetable of when the upgrade work will begin.
