(HILLSBORO, Mo.) The 62nd Gene Steighorst Tournament continues Friday night as we bring you the semifinals on KJFF from Hillsboro High School.

The first semifinal of the night will feature the number one seeded Hillsboro Hawks and the fourth seeded Festus Tigers. Festus got by DeSoto in double overtime 73-69 while Hillsboro knocked off the Seckman Jaguars 74-46. The Tigers are 3-1 on the year while Hillsboro is 3-0.

The second semifinal of the night will bring us a battle of the number two seeded Francis howell Central Spartans (1-1) and the number three seeded Park Hills Central Rebels. Both teams had no problems in their first round winning by 20 plus points with Francis Howell beating Northwest 62-31 and Park Hills (1-1) beating Windsor 62-38.

The consolation bracket is set as sixth seeded Windsor beat seventh seeded Northwest 39-37 to advance to the fifth place game, while the eighth seeded Seckman Jaguars knocked off the fifth seeded DeSoto Dragons 65-43 to face Windsor. Northwest and DeSoto will play for seventh place.
