SEMO North Title On the Line When Jackson Visits Farmington

(Farmington) The 5-1 Farmington Knights host Class Five’s number one ranked team and defending state champion, the 6-0 Jackson Indians with a SEMO North title up for grabs. Jackson has won 10 straight in this series and has demolished all comers the last two seasons, but Farmington has shown a knack for winning the close ones; so if it comes down to the fourth quarter…..who knows???

Brent Eckley graduated a huge class of talented seniors off of the state title team, but he is seeing a few similarities with this squad…

Farmington also took a big hit through graduation off of its 9-3 team that lost to Jackson in the district title game last year, but Eckley is impressed out of the Knights’ improvement this year…

Farmington knocked off Poplar Bluff 49-42 with a comeback win last week to make this a title game. The Knights came from 14 down in the 4th and scored with :06 left. Coach Erik Kruppe says that’s the type of win that can give you a lift…

Kruppe says right now Jackson is the model program…

Jackson beat Farmington last year 56-14 during the regular season and 49-14 in the district championship game. You can listen to tonight’s edition on AM 800 KREI.
