The J-98 Game of the Week features a chance at reversing history. The North County Raiders host the De Soto Dragons, a team they have not lost to since 2011. The Dragons however, enter the game with a record of 3-0 while scoring over 50 points in each of their last two games. This is what head coach of North County Dave Dallas had to say about the defensive game plan.

+++Coach Dallas says sophomore quarterback Kolten Poorman has the respect of his Raider teammates…

+++As for De Soto, their first year head coach Chris Johnson has been off to a strong start and that wouldn’t be possible without the back up running back entering the year, Austin Akers stepping up on offense.

+++Johnson knows the Dragons defense has to stand tough…

+++The Ste. Genevieve Dragons are hosting the Fredericktown Blackcats in our J-98 WebTV “Game of the Week. Both teams are heading in opposite directions in the early going as the Dragons have lost their last two games. On the flip side, the Blackcats have dominated their last two opponents winning 41-14 over Herculaneum and 28-13 over Perryville. After limiting the Pirates to 90 yards through the air, Fredericktown coach Paul Sauer knows Ste Gen presents a bigger challenge offensively.

+++Ste Gen coach Ken Weik says their biggest focus is slowing down running back Matt Williams.

+++With confidence sky high for Fredericktown after back-to-back wins and Ste. Gen putting up huge numbers offensively, this game could come down to the wire. The Blackcats will look to surpass their 2 wins from all of last year with a victory and the Dragons will try to even their record at 2-2.
