Serious Accident in St. Francois County

A 39-year-old woman from Poplar Bluff sustained serious injuries in a two-car crash in St. Francois County. The Highway Patrol says that the accident occurred Northbound on US-67, just north of Route “D-D.” Jessica Powers was traveling northbound in her 2019 Jeep Cherokee when another traveler blew the front right tire and traveled off the roadway. Powers tried to avoid the vehicle, however, she struck the rear. The impact caused both vehicles to run off the roadway and Powers struck the cable median barrier. Powers was transported to Mercy Hospital St. Louis by Air Evac.
