Serious Area Accidents Monday and Tuesday
A 62 year old Fredericktown woman was seriously injured this past Monday in a single vehicle accident. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Tammy Robertson was driving eastbound on Highway 72 west of Fredericktown in her 2005 GMC Envoy when she ran off the road, struck a fence, and overturned. Robertson was not wearing her seatbelt, and suffered serious injuries. Robertson was taken to St. Louis University Hospital via Helicopter.
A 29 year old man from Fenton was seriously injured in a single vehicle accident on Tuesday. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at 2:20 pm Justin Marks was driving on Old Lemay Ferry Road, south of Seckman Road in Jefferson County when he failed to stay in the right lane, and his 2004 Dodge Dakota traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree. Marks was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident, and suffered serious injuries. Marks was taken to Mercy Hospital South by the Rock Township Ambulance District.
