(Farmington) There will only be a handful of football teams in southeast Missouri competing in a preseason jamboree tonight with the majority opting out of participating.

The Farmington Knights will be on the road as they travel to Cedar Hill to battle the Northwest Lions.

The Seckman Jaguars will travel to St. Clair to take on the Bulldogs.

The Perryville Pirates will set sail to Festus to square off with the Jefferson Blue Jays.

Finally, the Festus Tigers will welcome the Jackson Indians to town.

The teams that have opted out of a preseason jamboree include Central, DeSoto, Fredericktown, Grandview, Herculaneum, Hillsboro, North County, Potosi, St. Pius, St. Vincent, Ste. Genevieve, Valle Catholic, and Windsor.

Week one of the high school football regular season kicks off a week from today on Friday, August 28th.
