(Jefferson County) There were a few traffic accidents that took place on Saturday evening, investigated by the Missouri Highway Patrol.

An Arnold man was injured in a two-vehicle accident on US-61 at Telegraph Road. 63-year old James Peskar was driving a 2008 Toyota Camry and was making a left turn onto northbound Telegraph and pulled in the path of a 2008 Lexus RX driven by 42-year old Denise Zimmerman of Arnold. Peskar was not wearing a seat belt and was taken by private conveyance to Barnes Jewish Hospital with moderate injuries. The accident took place at 5:15 Saturday afternoon.

A St. Louis man was injured in a single-vehicle accident on southbound US-61 near Franz Drive. 60-year old Ermin Krajina was driving a 2008 Ford Focus, ran off the right side of the road, struck a ditch, and overturned. Krajina was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South with moderate injuries. The accident took place just after 9 o’clock Saturday night.

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident on northbound Highway 141 south of Fiedler Lane. 41-year old Michael Ludwig of Fenton was driving a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero, and was stopped at the red signal, and was struck from behind by a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by 18-year old Bailey Anderson of Barnhart. Anderson was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South with minor injuries. Ludwig and a passenger 48-year old Maria Torres of Fenton were both taken by ambulance to SSM Health St. Clare Hospital, Ludwig with moderate injuries, and Torres with minor injuries. The accident took place at 10:30 Saturday night.
