Sex Offender Arrested in State Park

(St. Francois County) A convicted sex offender was arrested over the weekend in St. Francois County.

The arrest report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says on Saturday 40-year-old Jesse R. Rector of rural Ste. Genevieve County was charged as a sex offender found inside a state park.

He also was given a driving while revoked charge and failure to display insurance charge.

Back in 2005, Rector was convicted of second degree statutory rape and was given a five year prison sentence.

In 2012, Rector was convicted of second degree burglary and given five years probation.

However, he later broke his probation and was given seven more years in prison.

Rector awaits an initial court date for his latest alleged crime.
