Sheep and Craft Festival Set For April 8

The 37th Annual Southern Illinois Sheep and Craft Festival is just a few weeks away. The event will feature a number of exhibitions and activities related to the lamb and wool product industries. Event organizer Richard Woodcock told us about the early days of the festival.

The event will feature various sheep and wool craft items for sale. There will also be presentations such as knitting and craft demonstrations, shearing demonstrations and sheep dog demonstrations, along with interactive options including a tractor pull and judging contests. The whole event is put together by the Monroe County Sheep Producers, but plenty of other organizations are involved.

A lamb plate lunch will also be served during the event, which is set to take place on April 8th at Monroe County Fairgrounds in Waterloo, Illinois. For more information, you can call Richard Woodcock at (618) 939-8536 or email him at [email protected], or visit mcsheepproducers.com.
