Shepherd Mountain Mountain Bike Park in Ironton is taking Shape

(Ironton) Work has began on constructing the Shepherd Mountain Bike Park in Ironton.

Mayor Bob Lourwood says once complete, the park will have trails for beginning mountain bikers to the advanced.

Mayor Lourwood says they have pros building their mountain bike park in the Arcadia Valley.

A meeting, not open to the public, was originally scheduled for Tuesday afternoon at 1 at the Arcadia Valley Career Technology Building in Ironton.

Community leaders and leaders from adjoining counties were invited to this initial meeting.

The response has been so great, they have changed the meeting location to the Arcadia Valley High School Gymnasium in Ironton so proper social distancing can be practiced.
