Sheriff Dave Marshak on officer traffic crashes

(Hillsboro) Vehicle accidents and crashes can happen at any given time, and 1st responding agencies are no different. Jefferson County Sheriff Dave Marshak says crashes do happen from time to time whether it’s weather-related, while responding to call, or striking animals or deer on the roadway. The Sheriff says the vast majority of his road deputies have been doing a good job.

Road conditions were a bit hazardous at times with the morning snowfall on Wednesday, but most of the roads were kept clear of snow throughout the day. Conditions improved greatly in the afternoon as the plows and salt trucks were able to get out and work.
