Sheriff Marshak on 4th of July weekend

(Hillsboro) The 4th of July weekend is upon us, so a busy weekend is expected. Jefferson County Sheriff Dave Marshak says deputies will certainly be out in full force watching the roads and likely handling an increase in calls for service.
Sheriff Marshak says unincorporated Jefferson County does not have restrictions on the discharging of fireworks, however, residents need to be cautious.
Jefferson County municipalities do have restrictions on the use of fireworks, check with your local city or fire department to find the hours of when fireworks are allowed to be discharged.
