Sheriff Marshak on flooding and water rescues

(Hillsboro) Some of the river and creek levels have been rising as of late due to spring showers and water flowing from the north. With that comes the threat of flooding and emergency responders always need to be ready if it happens. Jefferson County Sheriff Dave Marshak says they always check over the weather updates to be up to date on the possibilities.

Sheriff Marshak says they no longer have the equipment for swift water rescues, but many other first responders do.

Several fire agencies, especially the ones located near creeks and along the Mississippi River do have boats capable of water rescues.
