(Jefferson County) The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office was recently called in to investigate an alleged assault involving three De Soto Police Officers in late September.

On November 24th De Soto Police Chief Jeff McCreary contacted Sheriff Dave Marshak to request an investigation into the incident which occurred at the De Soto Police Station/Jail on September 30th.

Sheriff Marshak says that investigation is ongoing.

Sheriff Marshak mentions investigations like this have to been looked over thoroughly.

The Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has since filed charges against all three officers that were involved.

27-year-old Bethany Zarcone of Farmington has been charged with 3rd Degree Assault.

55-year-old James Daly of Imperial has been charged with one count of 3rd Degree Assault and two counts of 4th Degree Assault.

23-year-old Allayna Campbell of Park Hills has been charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence.

It should be noted, at the time of this investigation, James Daly was no longer employed with the City of De Soto.
