Sheriff’s office continues to investigate the threat made against Northwest High School

(Cedar Hill) Detectives with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office continue to investigate the violent threat made against Northwest High School in Cedar Hill.

Sheriff’s office spokesman Grant Bissell says investigators are making progress.

It was on January 13th when administrators in the Northwest School District received the threat.

After a search of the school and increased patrols by the sheriff’s office, students at the high school were released early.

Since that time the sheriff’s office has stated they don’t believe there is an immediate danger to the school.
