Sheriff’s office deals with first accumulating snowfall of the season without too many problems

(Jefferson County) The first significant snowfall of 2022 took place early Saturday morning and tapered off by the afternoon.

The snowfall only dropped a few inches and didn’t cause too many traffic issues.

Lieutenant Colonel Tim Whitney with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says the timing of the snow on a Saturday made it very manageable.

Lieutenant Colonel Whitney says the plows did a great job.

The remainder of this week and the weekend looks to be free from snow, but colder temperatures are expected.
