Sheriff’s office detective bureau investigates area burglaries

(Jefferson County) A home in the 100 block of Keystone Drive in Fenton was ransacked by a burglar and deputies with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office are investigating.

Sheriff’s office spokesman Grant Bissell says the incident occurred on August 6th when the home owners left the residence around noon to return to their home around 4pm to find their home in disarray.

According to Bissell the homeowner was going to conducted a more thorough walkthrough of the home to determine if there was anything more missing from the residence.

In a separate incident, on August 9th deputies received an alarm from the Phillips 66 gas station located off Highway 61-67 in the Barnhart area.

A further canvass of the area turned up nothing. The detective bureau is handling the case.
