(Hillsboro) Authorities in Jefferson County are on the look out for a group of car clotters that went through the Persimmon Point neighborhood outside of Hillsboro late Sunday night and early on Monday morning.

Grant Bissell is the Public Safety Information Coordinator for the sheriff’s office.

He says they have received a number of complaints about items being stolen out of vehicles and people checking to see if vehicles were locked.

A good way to prevent being a victim of car clotters is simply locking your vehicles.

Investigators continue to work on leads trying to identify the group of people.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Jefferson County Sheriff’s office at 636-797-5515.
